Day 2- New Orleans

Day 2: New Orleans

Good morning from the Bashful's!! Twas a good nights sleep until a chirping bird woke us all up at 3 am!! We hit the road and made our way into day 2 across the country. On our first stretch of driving we went through our first time change shortly after entering into Alabama. After entering Alabama we made our first pit stop at Auburn University (War Eagle)!! Here we took pictures and had several participants present research information while at the Auburn sign. We also went to the Auburn Walmart for our daily stop and grocery shopping session.

Arrived at Auburn University as our first stop on day two! Got a group pic in front of the clock tower.

After leaving Auburn we drove to New Orleans running on fumes. We got to the great city of New Orleans around 2, after parking we sat at the edge of the Mississippi River to present our research presentations for the surrounding area. We took a quick stop by Cafe Du Monde, walked through the St. Louis Cathedral, and visited Jackson square. Soon after we were let go to visit Bourbon Street and to explore the culture through food and shopping.

When we arrived at New Orleans we got a rare opportunity to take a photo in front of a leaving ferry.
